Bucks beat Bulls
The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Chicago Bulls, 116-82, in their preseason opener. Nigerian-Greek forward Giannis Antetokounmpo had a 19-point, 13-rebound double-double, Eric Bledsoe also notched a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Khris Middleton finished with 15 points and five rebounds.
Bobby Portis led the Bulls with 17 points and three rebounds, Kris Dunn had 10 points and five rebounds, while Zach LaVine ended the night with eight points.
Knicks rip Nets
The New York Knicks beat the Brooklyn Nets, 107-102, on the back of Enes Kanter’s 22-point, 20-rebound double-double, Allonzo Trier had 25 points and four rebounds, while Tim Hardaway Jr, Trey Burk and Frank Ntilikina combined for 27 points with nine each.
The Nets were led by Caris LeVert with 15 points and four steals. Spencer Dinwiddie had 13 points and six assists, and Rodions Kuruks added 13 points, four rebounds and four steals.
Pistons down Thunder
The Detroit Pistons won their hotly contested matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder, 97-91. Andre Drummond had a 31-point, 16-rebound double-double, Stanley Johnson contributed 14 points, five rebounds and three assists, and Glenn Robinson III finished with 11 points and four rebounds.
Gambian-German guard Dennis Schroder led the Thunder with 21 points, five rebounds and nine assists, Steven Adams had a 17-point, 12-rebound double-double, and Raymond Felton put up 12 points, three rebounds and five assists.
